Which came first?

For us it was the chickens!

When we began our life together in a home of our own, we decided to add some lively chickens to our family, marking the dawn of our adventure beyond our reclusive cat. We were drawn to their quirky personalities and the prospect of fresh eggs.

As our family grew, these chickens not only brought joy and laughter into our lives, but also served as a practical way to teach our kids about responsibility and chores. Moreover, they cleverly turned our food scraps into food, providing us with rich fertilizer and delightful, speckled brown eggs, along with the occasional green egg courtesy of our Easter Egger. Each day, our yard bursts with their vibrant energy and egg-songs, making them an integral part of our household.
