Our backyard hives

In 2021, after navigating the challenges of the pandemic and adjusting to life with a new baby, dogs, and cats, we embarked on our dream of keeping bees in downtown Indianapolis. We set up our first hive that year. Since then, our apiary has grown, fluctuating between 4 to 8 hives depending on how well the bees are thriving.

This journey has not only deepened our love for these incredible pollinators but also provided a beautiful opportunity to involve our family and friends in the process. Each spring and fall, we eagerly harvest honey, hoping to generate funds to sustain our beekeeping endeavors. Together, we celebrate the joy of tending to our hives, fostering a sense of connection with nature, and cherishing the sweet rewards of our hard work.
